Santa Teresa Golf Club is the host course for theannual San Jose City Golf Championship.
_______________
Santa Teresa Golf Club, The Nine Hole Course, opened for play in 1996. The course was designed by Gene Bates.
The greens are fast and very well manicured. There are three lakes that come into play on six holes. The surrounding area of the course has mature trees and is a very serene and relaxing setting, according to locals.
Santa Teresa's Nine Hole Course is one of the finest par 3 short courses in Northern California. "Shorty" has water hazards on 4 holes and sand traps abound. "Shorty" is a great place for beginners and seasoned golfers alike to practice their short game. No need to book a tee time, “Shorty†is a walk-on course.

gets a lot of traffic, and is still in great condition

Typical Muni course but very convienant for me. No rough to speak of, but many choices for tees. Family tees in fairway for beginners (typically 150y from green).

This is the best muni course in the South Bay. The course is always in good shape and it's fun to play.

Nice shape, practice facilities ok (except small chipping green). Open and fair, a little expensive for a muni.

I love this course, the greens, the fairway, love the ambience, and like the practice facility. This was the first golf course I played when I started, so it holds a especial place in my heart, and it is also my home course based on distance from home. It is now one of three courses that I play on a regular bases. My main complaints are; (1) pace of play, (2) country club attitude by some members of the staff, (3) a bit pricey for golf in this area (I can save a little money by going else where to get my golf fix), (4) if you play as a single you need to dish out $28 for a full cart price, and (5) there are a few club regulars, and young guys that act like country club snobs. My only guess is that they learn this attitude from some of the club pros.

The greens are some of the best to putt that I've ever played. Fairways are in excellent shape also. The pace of play on the weekends can be 5+ hours unless you're there early (1st 2 hours) for eligible tee times.

Excellent course for early play on weekends with crowd. Weekend price not for seniors on golf budget. Play weekday for seniors w disabled cart Love the layout and condition for any public course in this area. Give it a 4+ rating overall even on Saturday 7AM tee off.

Good value for price. Greens very fair but challenging as they were difficult to read. Would play again.

It is my home course but I play quite a few others in the area. Best place to work on driving and long iron control because the fairways are in good shape and wide but you have to hit em in the right place sometimes. Greens are always in great shape and fair to play on. Have to say overall better to play on than Santa Clara, San Jose, Shoreline, and in my opinion no where as tough per the course slope ratings. Have to say that play can be slow but on Munis its always slow!

Good course and play is good if you start early. Leter in the day slows the pace. Greens are in good shape and the course is competive.

The only affordable way to play this course is the senior rate. I HATE the fact that they charge for two full carts if you have a threesome. Really long for 25 index (women). Pace of play is slow.

not bad pace of play for a public course in california on the weekend

Fantastic greens, horrid pace of play. Catch it on an empty day and it's great fun - outside of that, good luck. Note it is my home course.

Enjoyable public/muni course. A little dangerous (fairways from one hole to the next very close), but overall a pleasant spot. Second request - please add a checkbox related to the practice facilities, which are very important when rating a course.

Always seems like this course is more expensive than other nearby courses. Otherwise, this course is OK for weekly play.

Probably the best Muni-course in the area. Seniors get an enormous discount (unfortunately, at the expense of non senior golfers). Friendly staff.

Was in surprising condition. Expected it to be a little worse due to the drought. Fairways and greens well maintained though fairways are getting hard and brown do the the lack of water.
